hi
I hope to start using patternmaker again in the next month,a few years ago,Dawn and I spoke at length about really making an effort to do more with it.I do have many macros and have found by using it for personal patterns I had a great fit, actually I compared my hand drafted trouser block to the one from the basic trouser block and they were almost identical.I now want to learn to draft bras and a kind gentleman who was coaching me told me to stop with the pencil and paper,my prefered way and start to use CAD as it was so accurate and I could bring layers up to use to modify the style lines or to grade to other sizes.this was a few years ago and now I intend to start this year
anyone out there still love patternmaker and use the CAD part?
am computer stupid ,but can draft by hand, just need to learn.I do have jennifers book, and although I read it when it came out need to read it again,I did start to do kims tutorials too
jane ,in the uk
Hi Jane,
nice you are back. You are with us already a very long time.
Do not hesitate to ask questions if you have.
I use PatternMaker already from 1999 on and draft my patterns most of the time with the system I learned.
