Macro Generator

Hello! I have question about sewing my bodice sloper from the free macro provided with the free version of the program. Everything so far has worked great, but when I pin the sleeves into the arm hole, I have quite a bit of extra fabric (about 2 inches in total) that does not fit in the armhole. Is the sleeve meant to fit exactly in the armhole or is part of it gathered? I haven't been able to find any information one way or the other. Thank you!

Also I did remove the dart from the elbow as it seemed unnecessary to me. I'm not sure if that woud've affected the sleeve cap, though.

You have to gather your sleeve cap. Your seam allowance is 5/8 from edge of cap down.From edge of cap measure down 1/4 make your first row of gathers from notch to notch, and about another 1/4 or a little less, make another row of gathers. Even out your gathers and put it in your arm hold. You can put back the elbow dart. .
Hope that helps.

Each sleeve for a fitted garment has a special ease.. The procedure can be as Wille Mae describes. But it is not a gathered sleeve - it is eased in. You can reduce the ease amount but you should know how to do it. Some fabric ease wonderfull - some not.
I'm at the moment preparing a little text how to do it. When it is finished I can send it to you.

Forgot;
sure you can do the sleeve dartless. But the same: you must know what you are doing. It can be Leena has a tutorial. And it has nothing to do with the circ of the sleeve cap.
