Hi.
I just created a personal measurement table in PatternMaker 7.5. I'm trying to create a pattern using Leena's macro for a fitting bodice / sloper.
As soon as I choose my new measurement table and try to create the pattern, I get an error message:
"The pattern can not be drawn with these measurements!
Any help on how to proceed from here would be much appreciated

Hi! I had a similar problem when I attempted to create pattern from the fitted bodice for my step mom. She is bigger around the middle than at bust or hip lines. I wondered if the problem was that the princess lines and darts are designed to contour via reduction rather than expansion. What I did was choose the bust size that fit her and then I did major alterations to fit her waistline. I don't know what your shape is, but perhaps the tomato shape doesn't work with a design that's ultimately intended to cinch at the waist...?

Hi,
when PatternMaker gives you this error it means that with the measurements you have given in, the pattern can not be drawn by the program.
Be sure that you measured at the right way. This means your elastic band should be totally horizontal from the back around your waist. It could be that this is not what you would like to have as your waistline but the pattern is drawn this way. When for instance the band is at the front much lower as at the back your waist heigth is much too long measured and also drawn. You can aloways lower the waist line at the front later in the pattern by moving those points down at the screen.
It can also be that you have made a type fault like shoulder 124 instead of 12.4 or the bust or waist height was not divided by 2.
It can also have to do with your body balance, the posture difference. When you have a somewhat rounded back your backlength will be longer then your front length and in that case Patternmaker will draw your shoulderline too steep or can not draw it.
You can check your measurements with the Posture difference manual which you can find under Help/Manuals in the folder Leena. There are 2 documents, a pdf manual Posture difference about the subject and an posture difference excel sheet. When you fill in this sheet you will get advices about the to fill in measurements.
When this is not helping, mail me your measurement tabel so I can check it. You will find your saved measurement tabel, a .mtb file in My Documents/patternmaker/personal files/MeasureTables

Eugenie and edayan -- thanks much for the quick replies!
I will take a look at your suggestions and review my measurements and see if I can't see a place to make some changes.
Unless I made a typing error (I'll check that first!), I suspect full bust, protruding abdomen, and possible extra-erect posture would be the first places for me to check. I had looked at the "posture difference" information before I even took measurements and entered them into a chart. I'll review that again and play around with the spreadsheet tool (if I can figure it out! ha!).
Thanks again.

Eugenie,
No typing errors. (That would be too easy!)
I tried my measurement chart with a couple of other macros. For example, I did not get the error when I used those measurements for a raglan tee, but I did get it with the raglan button shirt. I got the error with a princess button shirt in the Women's 1 macro.
I'm looking for the Leena resources you mentioned. I have found the pdf guide, but I can't find the Excel tool. I'm looking on the patternmakerusa website under Resources/Instructional Help/Leenas.
Thanks!
Edited to add: Nevermind! I found the excel tool in the program. (I had been looking on the website instead of in the program...)
